Strut Your Mutt With Team Captains Paige, Charlie & Sawyer!
Paige and her rescue pups Charlie and Sawyer @puppynamedcharlie are embarking on a new adventure–leading the way as Team Captains for Foster Dogs, Inc., a nonprofit that connects rescue organizations, adopters, fosters, and other partners together to help animals in need, in the annual Strut Your Mutt Walk in New York City on October 5th.
After participating in the fundraiser since 2012, and raising over $5,000 for Fosters Dog, Inc. in 2018, the NY-based nonprofit selected our friends @puppynamedcharlie to lead their organization from the front at the event, and they couldn't be more excited!
"I am very excited and honored to lead such an extraordinary team of individuals and dogs!" says Paige, the CEO of @paigeknowsfirst. And, she asks that you join them on Saturday, October 5th at Hudson River Park in New York City, and "STRUT YOUR MUTT!"
And, even if you don't have your own "mutt to strut," the Team Captains would still love for you to walk with them! But, register soon and secure your early bird pricing. Register here.
If you aren't able to attend, you can still help this team reach their $25,000 goal! Donate directly here.
And, read on to learn more about your Team Captains!
Do Charlie and Sawyer realize that they are spearheading such an inspirational cause? Do they "strutt" themselves?
They constantly Strut! All over NYC! They love participating in this walk! I think they are excited to be “in charge” this year!
As Team Captains, what are they planning to wear?
They have special custom dog tags from Rebel Dawg for the occasion!
Did Charlie and Sawyer inspire your passion to fundraise for shelter dogs?
I have always worked with rescue organizations and focused all of my charitable efforts for animal related causes, even way before Charlie came into my life!
Is there a special memory helping Foster Dogs, Inc. that you'd like to share?
Since we donated $5,000 to Foster Dogs, Inc. last year, as a special "thank you" they named two dogs Charlie and Sawyer! They were pulled from the shelters, given the best medical care, fostered, and then both eventually were adopted to their forever home! It was very special to follow their journey!
For someone who has never had a dog or cat in their lives, what would you want them to know about kill shelters in the United States?
Every day, more than 4,100 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That’s why our team is participating in Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event to raise money for animals. That money will help save the lives of homeless pets.
